Do you need 6 things to experience in Odense on a spring day? Odense is always beautiful, but a spring day in Odense, when the sun is shining, the grass is green and the summer coming, is just something very special. On a spring day, you can take a walk through Odense’s beautiful streets or experience several exciting things. On a spring day, it is obvious to visit Kulturmaskinen. This is especially a good idea if it’s a bit cold outside. Kulturmaskinen is located right next to Brandts Klædefabrik and Café Biografen (cinema). Kulturmaskinen is the city’s cultural playground and various children’s events are regularly held here. There are two creative workshops here – the clay workshop and the textile workshop. If you would rather spend a spring day experiencing art, then Kunstbygningen Filosoffen is the obvious choice. There are many exciting art exhibitions here. The art exhibitions are within all media. There are new exhibitions approximately every two to four weeks.

At Danmarks Jernbanemuseum, children can explore the various carriages and locomotives. Here you can e.g. visit the museum of children’s railway station, which is a child-sized railway station. Outside there is a large learning and play area. This spring activity is mostly aimed at families with children, but who doesn’t like looking at trains?

Riceteria is a combined café and shop. Riceteria is a universe of colour, coziness and delicious food that is made with love. The café serves everything from crisp salads to delicious cakes. There are often various activities in the store where it, for example, is possible to decorate a cup. Can it get more spring-feeling than colors?

Odense Zoo is always worth a visit – even on a beautiful spring day. Odense Zoo is a cozy zoo with many different animals from all over the world. It is possible to take one of Odense Aafarts tour boats from Munke Mose to Odense Zoo. After the visit, it is possible to take the tour boat back to Munke Mose again.

It is obvious to go on a picnic on a spring day. If you want to eat a delicious lunch, cozy Munke Mose is an obvious option for this. You can bring your own picnic basket or buy takeaway at Arkaden Streetfood or at one of the many cafées. You can also bring a blanket that you can lay out on the grass. In Aafarten’s kiosk, it is possible to buy a cup of coffee or an ice cream.

 

Pedal boat or canoe

On a spring day in Odense, it is also possible to rent a canoe or a pedal boat from Odense Aafart. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature and Odense’s beautiful river. You can take the trip in your own pace. If you choose to rent a canoe, you can choose between six different routes that have different levels of difficulty. You can also rent a pedal boat and bring your own picnic basket. It is also possible to buy takeaway from one of Odense’s many cafes. Arkaden Street Food has many different food stalls, so there is definitely something for everyone.
