Get you family out of the couch and travel with Odense Aafart to the forest in Fruens Bøge. A mystery has happened here and we need you and your family’s help to solve it.

Adventures, history, stories, and riddles – get the whole package in the beautiful nature around Odense River.

After arriving at Fruens Bøge, you have one hour to solve six riddles and crack the code to the gold treasure before the boat brings you back to Munke Mose. It is very important that you are all aware – perhaps the Greedy Gorm lurk around in Fruens Bøge looking for the same clues as you are – or try to fool you. You are racing against time to find the secret password.

On this tour, you have the opportunity to experience the nature in Fruens Bøge and its landmarks in a totally new and different way while you are solving the mystery behind Theodor’s Secret Gold Treasure. It is the perfect opportunity to see the nature, enjoy each other’s company, and get a nice and different experience on Aafarten’s tour boat.

If you crack the code before the time runs out, your kids will win a small prize when they get out of the boat in Munke Mose.

Can you reserve a ticket in advance?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve a ticket in advance. To be sure that there are enough seats, tickets can be purchased online.

Are we allowed to bring a stroller?

Yes, at the children tour “Theodor’s Secret Gold Treasure” you can bring all kinds of strollers for free.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, if you believe that it will be okay with sailing and being around a lot of people.

How long is the tour?

“Theodor’s Secret Gold Treasure” lasts 2 hours in total. You will sail in approximately 30 minutes from Munke Mose to Fruens Bøge. On the boat you will be told the story about Theodor and the secret gold treasure. Next, you will get off the boat in Fruens Bøge, where you will have 1 hour til solve all the tasks. Then, the boat will bring you back to Munke Mose. It is very important that you are all back on the boat after 1 hour so the boat does not sail without you.

Can you get onboard in Fruens Bøge without a ticket?

Yes, either buy a ticket directly from the captain, or buy it in the kiosk when you arrive in Munke Mose. It is also possible to pay in cash or with MobilePay on board.

Are we allowed to bring our own drinks and food?

Yes, you are more than welcome to bring your own beverages for the tour. You can also buy it in our kiosk before departure.

Is smoking allowed on board?

No, smoking is not allowed on board.

How does the family ticket works?

A family ticket is valid for two adults and two children. If your family consist of more than that, you can buy an extra ticket for children or adults.

Where can I park my car?

There is a car park just across Aafarten. – See the map of the area here.

Parking by Aafarten’s kiosk is a good idea as the tour boats begins and ends in Munke Mose. By the Aafart’s kiosk, you can find rows of parking options for cars. Odense C offers a lot of options for parking, however, most of them require payment or are only for a limited time. Our recommendation is for you to park at the parking house ‘Filosoffen’, which is close to Odense Aafart. Our guests receive a discount for parking in Filosoffen’s parking house by booking

You can take the free Citybus, which stops almost at Aafarten. Get off at Søndergade/Vestergade or Holsdore. The bus drives approx. every 10 minutes: Monday-Friday 9 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday 11 am to 3:30 pm.

During festivals and major events, e.g., in August and September, there may be alternative routes. Therefore, keep an eye on the timetable here
