Child-Friendly Easter Holiday in Odense

Are you going to have a child-friendly Easter holiday in Odense? There are many things to do. Odense has many child-friendly experiences for children of all ages. In this blog, we have gathered inspiration for 6 different things you can do with the children during the Easter holidays.

If you want to enjoy Odense’s beautiful nature, cozy Munke Mose is an obvious option for this. Munke Mose is very beautiful in the spring, when the leaves gradually come on the trees. Munke Mose is cozy and beautiful in all kinds of weather. Here you can bring your own picnic basket or buy takeaway at one of the many cafés around Odense. It can be a bit cold at Easter, so it’s a good idea to bring a blanket so you can lay out on the grass. In Aafarten’s kiosk it is possible to buy a cup of coffee or an ice cream.

If you like to be creative, Creative Space in Odense is an obvious Easter holiday activity. Here you can be creative and have fun together. You can make your own Easter decoration. Creative Space has more than 300 different types of ceramics and 94 colors to choose from, so there is definitely something you want to paint. When you have finished painting, you just leave the ceramics to Creative Space so they can glaze and fire your masterpieces. You can pick them up a week after the visit.

Pedal boats or canoe

It is also possible to rent a canoe or a pedal boat from Odense Aafart. This is an Easter holiday activity where you decide the pace yourself. If you rent a canoe, you can choose between six different routes that have different degrees of difficulty. You can also rent a pedal boat and bring a picnic basket.

Odense is known for its cozy pedestrian street with many small side streets and cafés. This is obvious after a long day of walking. The pedestrian street is not far from the H.C. Andersen quarter, where H.C. Andersen grew up. In this quarter is H.C. Andersen’s childhood home, which gives a presentation of his life. Here you can also visit the brand new H.C. Andersen House.

 

 

Zoo

Odense Zoo is a cozy zoo with many different animals from all over the world. It is obvious to spend a child-friendly Easter holiday in Odense visiting Odense Zoo. Here you can spend a whole day looking at all the animals. It is possible to take one of Aafarten’s tour boats from Munke Mose to Odense Zoo. After the visit, it is possible to take the tour boat back to Munke Mose again.

In the  museum in Møntergården, you and the children can explore what it was like to live in the past. Here you can play with the old museum items, which hide many quirky stories. The exhibition spreads over different rooms and each room has its own theme.
